Roche Cove, Sooke BC

I have passed few this area a few times in the years that I have lived here.  I remember the first time going over the small bridge thinking "I need to come back here with my camera..."  Well I finally did and captured this frame.  This is one of those little hidden gem landscapes that can just sneak up on you.

Washington State 2015

A number of weeks ago I did a quick road trip down the Washington coast.  I highly recommend it.  The seascapes are breathtaking, and there are lots of hikes/ beach walks to do.  Almost too many.  I took too many photos to share, but here are a few of my favorites.

In Fort Stevens Park, we found the wreck of the Peter Iredale.  This was a four-masted steel bark ship used for shipping in the 1890's.  In the fall 1906, while attempting to reach Portland, it encountered heavy fog and wind, which ended up pushing the ship onto the sand and beaching it.  And there it has rested ever since.

But before reaching Fort Stevens, I did a return trip to Cape Flattery which is at the most northwestern tip of Washington State.  My first visit there I experienced a monsoon, so I was hoping the weather would be a bit more cooperative for photos.  I am still not sure which visit was better... it was very hazy (depending which direction you were facing) but I still got a couple of share worthy frames.  The trail leading to the Cape was much dryer and still maintained making it a pleasant hike...

Gonzales Bay

Did a little local touring the other day... I love this view from one of the many Victoria area scenic stops.  Gonzales Bay with Clover Point off in the distance there.

The Beauty within British Columbia

Recently visited Shannon Falls near Squamish, B.C. So much to see... I can just imagine how much water would be flowing down here in the spring.  As it was, the park appeared to be a well attended attraction, lots of families out enjoying the summer.

I Love Victoria

Spent this weekend re-exploring some of the local sights.  I always forget how colorful and quaint the residences at Fisherman's Wharf are.

Close up to Canada Place

I recently attended a conference in Vancouver, and at the end did a little exploring through North Vancouver as well as downtown.  I wish there had been more time as it was apparent there is so much to keep one occupied.  This is one of my favorites from that day.
